Project GREENKEEPERS chosen as 1st Place Winner of Environmental Innovation Award

Our Associate Partner, Five Elements Capital’s project “GREENKEEPERS”, was chosen as the 1st Place Winner of the Environmental Innovation Award of the Sustainable Textile Symposium (www.sustainable-textile-school.com), which recently took place on September 18-20, 2017 in Chemnitz, Germany.

The project was initiated by Five Elements Capital’s client, Edward Fernando and his team. The 15 jury members led by Prof. Dr. Marten Arnold, judged candidates from Brazil to Sri Lanka based on the best idea, business model or product.

The winners were:
1. GREENKEEPERS from Sri Lanka
2. POSSEIMO from Germany
3. MILES from Germany

The symposium was organized by Gherzi (www.gherzi.com), a Swiss-based global advisory and engineering company to the textile industry, and the Technical University of Chemnitz (www.tu-chemnitz.de/index.html.en) and was dedicated to the topic of environmental challenges in textile and making the textile industry more sustainable.

Five Elements Capital is now pursuing to achieve the final steps in the current fund-raising process for Phase 1 – Cotton Recycling Plant.
